Methods & Focus Areas
Behaviour therapy
Behaviour therapy is a scientifically grounded, well-proven approach. It is based on the understanding that thoughts, feelings, body and behaviour are closely connected. Together we identify stressful patterns, (re)discover your strengths and resources and develop more fitting ways of handling everyday life, step by step.
The therapeutic process
Together we create an appreciative space in which your inner strength has as much room as your vulnerability. The methods are evidence-based and individually tailored. We agree on the duration and frequency of sessions openly and on an ongoing basis.
Therapeutic services
My services are aimed at adults, children and adolescents – in German or English. No diagnosis is necessary: I am also there for you if you feel “somehow stuck” or that “everything is getting too much”.
My areas of focus
In these areas I have particularly extensive experience from my previous clinical and research work.
Neurodivergence
ADHD and autism spectrum: concentration, impulsivity and everyday challenges as well as social interaction, sensory processing and non-verbal communication.
Relationships & family
Relationship conflicts, loneliness, the wish to have children, abortion and unwanted relationship patterns.
Stress & burnout
Chronic overload, exhaustion, lack of recovery and difficulty setting boundaries – at work, in education or in everyday family life.
Other topics
Beyond that, I support you with a broad range of concerns – including:
Anxiety, worry & tension
Social anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, persistent nervousness and excessive worrying.
Depression, exhaustion & mood
Lack of drive, low mood, strong self-doubt and a sense of inner emptiness.
Body, exercise & eating
A strained relationship with food, body, exercise and weight, as well as strong feelings of control or shame. Also: (chronic) illness or physical complaints.
Life crises & challenging phases of life
Upheavals, loss, grief, coping with physical illness and the search for direction and meaning.
Sleep & psychosomatics
Sleep disorders, physical complaints without a medical cause.
Self-esteem & identity
Recognising your own needs, setting boundaries, perfectionism, low self-confidence and questions of identity – including around sexual orientation and gender identity
Addiction
Problematic use of alcohol, substances, media or certain behaviours.
Obsessive-compulsive disorder
Distressing thoughts and recurring actions or rituals that restrict everyday life.
Cycle & women’s* health
Difficulties around menstrual cycle disorders such as PMS, endometriosis or amenorrhoea, as well as the wish to have children and pregnancy.
